May, 29th is Graduation Day for the Class of 2018, after four years of hard work, it finally pays off to walk across that stage and received that diploma everyone has been talking about.

Graduation is a great thing but if dues aren’t paid, there is an obligation, or a cap and gown isn’t ordered; walking across the stage will not be possible.

For some high school is coming to an end quickly, this might be good news to some students that have clear plans of what they want to do for a living but for other who don’t know what to do after high school it can sound scary.

“I have mixed feelings about high school ending, it’s a yes and no feeling. I’m ready to move on to the next part of my life but I also don’t want to rush my last months of high school that I’ll never get back. My plans after high school are to attend Old Dominion University to major in business and play baseball,” Jared Hancock said.

“I don’t really want my senior year to end because this is my last year that I I’ll be able to see and hang out with all my friends before they head off to college. I want to get into a community college and learn to be an electrician,” Carlos Enriquez said.

Graduation is an exciting chapter in life, it is just the next step to growing up and living in the real world.
