While walking to her mailbox a child was hit by a car, and left to die. The police has found out who has committed the crime, but has yet to let the people know who the suspect was. Some may ask questions as to why would the suspect leave her rather than telling someone what had happened, and we don’t know what the suspects intentions were. But the people want to know.

SEAFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police say a 9-year-old girl is in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash that happened late Thursday afternoon in Seaford.

“Police said the incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. and involved a white, 2002 Mazda Protégé that was traveling northbound on German Road, less than a  mile south of Old Furnace Road. Troopers said the victim, who lives on the east side of German Road, had just finished checking the mailbox and was walking back to her home when she was struck by the Mazda.  The car then continued traveling northbound and fled the scene, police said. “ According to WBOC News.

    “The child sustained

major injuries and was removed from the scene by the Delaware State Police helicopter.  She was flown to A.I. Dupont Children’s Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.” States WBOC News.

“Following the crash, troopers located the driver of the Mazda, a 21-year-old Seaford man.  Charges have not been filed at this time, according to police. German Road between Concord Pond Road and Old Furnace roads was closed for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared,” says WBOC News.
