Since the tribe systems inception, teachers and students have been thinking about different challenges to play to earn points. This would create the spirit and competition in Pocomoke that the tribe system was put into effect. To earn points, there have been cornhole, pickleball, and push-up contests. Now we enter in to the gaming world with many possibilities.

With many of games out and playable by mostly everybody the possibilities are endless with games like Fifa, Madden, Call of Duty, Rocket League, 2K, Overwatch, and even Mario Kart. The possibilities are endless with gaming, and leads into the first tournament.

The first gaming tournament in Pocomoke was the Fifa tournament in Mr. Becker’s room. This is a rather small double elimination tournament with only eight players. This was just a test to see how it would work.

The next tournament will be on a bigger scale, with more players and the finals will be on the big screen in the auditorium. We don’t know what game it will be or when the tournament will be held. But we do know the tournament will support an organization like ‘Women Supporting Women’ or something local like ‘Hearts for Hartley’.

Students like senior John Sigrist say “I don’t necessarily like Fifa but if it were a game like Call Of Duty or Wizard101 I would love to play.”

With the Students and Teachers alike both liking the idea of the tournaments, more will be held and the school spirit will be at an all time high.
