Gianessa Wride, 7-year old girl with Alopecia, still has the power to look gorgeous even without her hair.

On January 1st, Gianessa’s mother, was brushing her hair and noticed a quarter-sized section of Gianessa’s hair come out onto the brush. Daniella, Gianessa’s mother told CNN, “We let her go to bed without telling her what was going on, I didn't want to scare her.”

A month went by before the Wrides were able to take Gianessa to a dermatologist. By then all of her hair had fallen out.

The dermatologist told the parents of Gianessa that she has Alopecia and her hair isn't going to grow back.

Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes hair to fall out in large chunks and never grow back. The little girl lost all of her hair and her eyebrows within 20 days.

Gianessa’s school in Salem announced their annual “Crazy Hair Day” competition, Daniella exclaimed “I didn't want her to feel like an outcast or that she wasn't like other kids.”

Daniella found some scrapbook stickers and jewels and got some cool, crazy ideas. "They just fit her personality. She's so vibrant and full of life and she loves everything sparkly,” stated Daniella.

Gianessa had a head full of sparkly jewels and stickers that easily won the “Crazy Hair Day”.
