Army Veteran has been deported to Mexico

Miguel Perez a U.S Army veteran that served for two tours in Afghanistan has been deported to Mexico. Perez was deported without any warning and wasn't able to say goodbye to his family. In Brownsville Texas ICE officers escorted Perez across the border and handed him to Mexican authorities. Perez was sent there with no money or clothes. His family is flying out on Monday to give him supplies and make sure he’s safe. “ This is an intolerable way to treat a man who fought bravely for this nation,” said Emma Lozano, who is fighting Perez’s case.

Perez was raised in Chicago since he was 8, and he enlisted into the Army before 9/11 up until 2004. After his service doctors diagnosed him with PTSD. During the time in which he was supposed to go back to the doctors for further treatment, he met up with an old friend that gave him free drugs and alcohol.
