Starbucks is one of America’s biggest coffee franchises. On April 6, 2016, it was officially reported that the coffee mogul will expand its business even further, but this time it will make a very extravagant change.

The Starbucks Company has plans for building its biggest franchise in its history, located in Manhattan, New York. This building will be “based on the Seattle Roastery it opened in December 2014, but even larger,” says a reporter of Fox News. “In New York we want to take elements from what we originally created and build something even bigger and bolder,” says Howard Schultz, Starbucks’ Chairman and Chief Executive. Currently in New York, there are about 94 Starbucks locations, all being big hits to the economy of the state. The new Starbucks building is scheduled to be completed and opened by the end of 2018. It will be located on 61 Ninth Avenue on the lower level of an office building.

Arlene Spiegel, a restaurant and retail consultant of Manhattan says that “The decision to bring a roastery to the city is the company’s way of distinguishing itself from the competition.” Spiegel also states that “What they have to do in reinforce their dominance as a premium coffee supplier and this is how they do it.” Howard Schultz plans to make this new and improved Starbucks the Willy Wonka of coffee. As the Starbucks franchise continues to expand, it will double down on features such as the Reserve brew and the Roastery, says Yahoo’s reported Kate Taylor. This new Starbucks will help give the entire franchise the reputation boost it has been searching for for many years.
