See the source image     Imagine being a young child in a hospital, wanting to go home and play with your favorite toys. Makenna Moore is trying to fulfill the wishes of these young children.

Moore, a 10-year-old Texas girl, is collecting hundreds and hundreds of stuffed animals and delivering them to hospitals near her area.

According to WNEM.com, Moore started delivering stuffed animals to sick children when she gave her   baby sister, who was in the NICU, a stuffed animal.

Moore said, “My sister was in NICU for three weeks and I got to see her before we went there, but I couldn’t visit. And I’ve had this stuffed animal since I was born from my aunt and I thought that if I gave it to her it would make me feel closer to her.”

The 10-year-old felt so happy that she did something to make someone else’s life a little better, so she decided to give stuffed animals to many other sick children.

According to WNEM.com, Moore was born with a whole in her heart, so she is no stranger to hospitals at a young age. The young girl figured that giving stuffed animals out would help make these gloomy places a little brighter.

“I like making people happy inside and having them feel safe. So that’s why I started doing this. If the kids had the stuffed animals they’d feel closer to their moms when they can’t see them,” said Moore.

The young Texas native has given out multiple stuffed animals already and does not plan to stop.

Giving back to people gives people so much pride and joy. Moore knows the true value of the small things, and really knows how to make people feel good during the tough times.
