Being A Man’s Best Friend

     See the source imageThere is an extremely high importance of dogs in the world today. Dogs provide us humans with companionship, love, safety and so many benefits and happiness. These animals are more than just a pet, they serve so much purpose to the world and have several qualities that add to an everyday life to a human.

    According to Vanderbilt University, noted on DailyPup.com, it is recognized that dogs can decrease the levels of human loneliness. In this specific case, these animals are sincerely important to those who live alone or may have experienced the loss of a loved one.

    Dogs also play roles as therapists which can help reduce levels of depression and stress. Pocomoke High School has their very own therapy dog, Rudy. The students at Pocomoke enjoy his presence and they appreciate the purpose he serves at the school.

    Some dogs serve as service dogs to people who have disabilities. According to the Animal Welfare Information Center of the USDA, these animals make it possible for individuals with disabilities to complete challenges and make their way around. These service dogs can allow physically disadvantaged people to walk and work. These people have a special connection with these animals because knowing a dog can make that possible for them means the world to them.

    Another importance a dog has on the world and the people that live in it is that they give off a huge amount of security. There are dogs that are specifically trained to be eligible to offer a sense of protection. Dogs have jobs such as being the sidekick of a policeman, they sniff out surfaces and keep people safe.

    According to Texas A&M, dogs that utilize specifically for security purposes require a specialized degree of training.

    Having a dog is like having a best friend hence the term “A Man’s Best friend,” these animals serve so many special purposes to humans lives in the world and they are so valued and appreciated.
