Melania Trump has finally revealed her platform “Be Best” 16 months after taking her role as first lady. In Trump’s speech she outlined three major pillars. She will be focusing on children’s well-being, social media and opioid use. Melania Trump's 'Be Best Initiative' Is Not All Her Initiative

“I feel strongly that as adult we can and should be best at educating our children about the importance of a healthy and balanced life,” she said. “ As a mother and first lady it concerns me that in today's world children can be less prepared to express their emotions; children can be less prepared to express or manage their emotions and oftentimes turn to forms of destructive or addictive behavior such as bullying, drug addiction, or even suicide.”

Trump also spoke about the negative uses of social

media as many had anticipated.

“As we all know, social media can both positively and negatively affect our children. But too often, it is used in negative ways,” said Trump.

Immediately critics picked up the the irony of the first lady’s speech due to her own husband’s twitter use, something that she has brought up in the past.

Trump had no rebuttal when some critics think that the first lady stole the “Be Best” slogan from Michelle Obama.

In 2016, the former first lady talked to Oprah Winfrey to speak about feminism and one of the biggest pillars was Obama telling men in the workplace to “Be Better”.

And Trump is really feeling the heat from all of those that believe the two platforms are way too similar, which must like the Trump and Obama plagiarism controversy in 2016 when Trump’s campaign speech at the Republican National Convention was almost exactly the same to the speech Obama gave in the Democratic National Convention in 2008.
