Pocomoke walks it off against Snow Hill

   Just last week on thursday the Pocomoke high school baseball team squared off against the Snow Hill Baseball team, both competitive teams playing a season series. Senior Brayden Hurley started the game pitching, he threw 4 scoreless innings shutting down the Snow Hill lineup.

    In the bottom of the 1st inning during Pocomokes at bat Senior Jared Hancock led of the inning with a double. He then stole third base and was safe at third. Senior Brayden Hurley came up to bat and lined a hard single to the opposite field scoring the runner on third to make it a 1-0 game. In the next 3 innings the Snow hill bats could not get hot and put anything together to generate any offense, strikeout after strikeout to retire the side for Snow Hill.

     In the top of the 4th inning on the first pitch of the at bat Senior Brayden Hurley threw a pitch outside to Shortstop Zach Adams of Snow hills baseball team and he hit it over the fence for a home run evening the game up 1-1 in the top of the 4th. After that home run was hit Pocomoke focused back on the game and the next three batters that came up were shut down two ground ball outs and a flyout to end the inning. During the next two innings the Pocomoke Offense could not start a rally of any sort, hits were taken away from the pocomoke offense .he Snow Hill Defense was steller sharp and let nothing get by them.

    In the bottom of the 7th inning Senior Dylan Peterson led the inning off with a single, following that the 2 and 3 batters sacrificed Dylan over to third and on the next pitch Senior Dylan Peterson scored on a wild pitch scoring and winning the game 2-1 walking it off against Snow Hill.
