This school year the Poco Percolator was introduce to our school. Open in the morning students and staff are able to come by and buy either coffee, hot chocolate or baked goods all for at a low cost of a dollar.  But how is business going, what impact is this having over students? The station is run by students that go here along with the help of teacher Mrs.Fitzgerald and Jamie Evans for XO Beanery & Bites.

So far each morning they sell about 30 cups of fresh coffee. Many of the students find it much easier and faster  than having to go out to wait in a long line and have a chance of being late due to the wait. Here the longs are much shorter and easy to place your order and fix it up how you would like.

Evans from XO Beanery & Bites comes in to help out and allows the kids to come and work in the cafe and make new types of drinks to try out at the school one day.  According to The Dispatch, “ Evans evens allows for the students to come the the shop where they are taught how to make some specialty drinks”.

But how does this help, well teacher Fitzgerald said in news report that it teaches the students that work the station “real life skills in helping others”.

As of now they only sale coffee, hot chocolate and small baked goods, but there is hope that later on in the future they will be able add more goods to the shop as well.

With this in place it allows for students and staff to have a quick place to go grab a quick drink and snack before the day starts.
