Seniors are making important decisions of their live, go to College far away from home, stay close to home, go to the Military or just get a job right after High school. If you are planning on going to College it might be hard to make a decision rather if you should stay close to home or go as far as you want. College is not for everyone, and if you are going away for College make sure you're prepared.

After High School the real world will hit you hard, you'll find that it's not going to be the same as High School. “After high school, i'm planning on going to College, i'm not sure if i'll be attending the same College for the years i'll be there, but my first two years of College will be local”  said Tatyana Waters, a senior at Pocomoke High.

Most people go away for College because they want to move to a new city and get away from their hometown and start a new life. They also might want to meet new people and see what the world offers them. I mean it would be nice to go away, stay in the dorms, study and party. “Going away for college, you’ll meet new people and learn how to be more independent”, said Waters.

Going away for College will place you outside of your comfort zone, you will learn new things and will be making new close friends. You'll have others to lean on when you need to. “College life will be stressful, because i will be worried about food, money and waking up on time” said Waters.

Going away for College is also what some people are afraid of. “It's better for me to stay home and just drive to college, it will save money” said Waters. It's not going to be cheap, in fact it will actually be less expensive staying home. Surveys show that the average college student graduates with around $30,000 in student loan debt. Based on your area of the country and school of choice, it might even be more. Also if you are not used to being away from your family, it's going to be emotional and you'll probably start feeling homesick, unless you meet new people and you're out partying.
